Ebit had been engaged by the client previously, delivering exceptional results across a range of categories. With the opportunity approaching to refresh and renew their payment processing partners they once again approached us to support their team through the process
Having worked with the client previously we had an understanding of their culture unique place within the UK retail market. For this project we were engaged by the organisations Chief Operating Officer, however, there were multiple stakeholders and departments involved in the decision making process.
After analysing existing spend data and understanding future growth plans we were able to establish a clear picture of the scope of the project. We were then able to engage with the interested stakeholders to uncover their satisfaction with incumbent suppliers and requirements for the future.
Having agreed these requirements we were able to go to market with a tender proposal, inviting a pool of suppliers to submit proposals to fulfil the brief and identify areas where they were able to add value beyond these expectations and support our client as they continued to grow internationally.
After a thorough review of responses by the clients team, supported by our own experts, 3 vendors were invited for final presentations before a final decision was made.
By working with the client to implement a rigorous and defined selection process we were able to move their payment processing away from a fragmented multi-vendor process to a single vendor solution. This has allowed our client to achieve many improvements to the service delivered as well as achieve considerable savings.
With Year 1 savings of 19% (£131k) of their existing budget our client has achieved market leading rates. By combining the various elements involved in payment processing and opting for a “full stack” solution with a leading provider our client has not only significantly reduced their costs and is also looking to establishing relationships with a single provider, invested in their mutual benefit for the next 3 years, and maybe even longer.
The vendor also brings a level of expertise to help support our clients international expansion as they continue to grow and develop in new markets. This was a key differentiator at the presentation stage which helped them stand apart from the other vendor proposals.
