Meet the Team: Chidozie Ogunkanmi

Starting in early April, Chidozie joined the EBIT team as our new Delivery Operating Partner, bringing with her experience across procurement, with particular specialties in IT. Chidozie has hit the ground running, working hard to deliver client projects with fellow Consultants in our Procurement Operations  teams, driving profit improvement, process efficiency, and understanding to clients and their unique requirements.

Increasing the breadth and depth of our team’s knowledge base and experience, Chidozie has quickly settled into her new role.

What does your role encompass?

My role involves working closely with clients to shape and deliver their IT procurement strategies—covering everything from software to emerging tech. The goal is to turn market insight and commercial expertise into measurable value, while making procurement feel simple, strategic and effective.

What do you enjoy most about working for EBIT?

The collaborative nature and genuine team spirit. Everyone pulls together, shares knowledge and is invested in delivering the best outcomes for our clients.

What’s your professional background?

I’m a procurement professional with over 7 years’ experience specialising in IT sourcing, negotiations, and third‑party management within highly regulated environments. I’ve worked on complex commercial deals, managed supplier risk and partnered with senior stakeholders to deliver real value and long‑term improvements.

What is something people in procurement have to deal with that you want to help fix?

A key challenge within procurement is reactive procurement / late engagement: Helping stakeholders truly understand the value of early procurement involvement is the solution. Getting procurement involved sooner unlocks better outcomes, reduces risk and ensures smarter commercial decisions for the organisation.

What was your first ever job?

Volunteering at a children’s centre when I was 16. I’ve always loved working with kids and giving back where I can.

If you were an Olympic athlete, which sport would you compete in?

Clapping. Not cheerleading. I’m a Professional-level supporter, excellent at encouragement and celebration.

When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing?

Singing at church, anything Disney-related and travelling. My goal is to visit as many countries in the world as possible.

Do you have a favourite quote?

“Doing small things in a great way.” It’s a quote often attributed to Martin Luther King Jr. It reminds me that excellence shows up in the everyday. Dedication to daily minor actions leads to significant impact.
