Meet the Team: Juliane Sutton
We’re delighted to welcome Juliane Sutton to the EBIT team! Joining us in mid-June as a Delivery Operating Partner with Marketing specialisation, Juliane brings over 20 years of experience in procurement across both in-house and client-facing roles. From her early career at a leading German life sciences company to consulting roles with Accenture and Deloitte, she has developed a strong track record in driving value, solving complex challenges, and delivering impactful results for clients.
Having just started her journey with EBIT, Juliane is already making her mark with her collaborative approach and passion for helping organisations optimise their procurement strategies.
What does your role encompass?
Delivering value for our clients – which can mean anything from spend analysis, opportunity assessments, market explorations to (re-)define our clients’ needs, renegotiating expiring contracts, running sourcing events to identify the right supplier, negotiating contracts to protect the clients’ interests and future-proof the their financial commitments.
What do you enjoy most about working for EBIT?
The team is incredibly welcoming and there is a real sense of purpose in bringing the best to our clients.
What’s your professional background?
I have spent over 20 years in Procurement, both in house and in client delivery roles. After starting my working life at a large German life science company, I moved into Professional Services, with roles at Accenture and Deloitte.
What would your advice be to someone who is considering procurement as a career?
If you have a problem-solving mindset and enjoy dealing with new challenges, then Procurement could be a very good place for you.
What is something people in procurement have to deal with that you want to help fix?
I found that introducing transparency and consistency are great launch-pads for optimising spend.
If you were an Olympic athlete, which sport would you compete in?
Long distance running
When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
Nowhere near Olympic level, but I love running. And going out for meals – I’m a big foodie!
If you were to donate to one charity, what would it be and why?
Chapter One – it’s a charity supporting literacy. I’ve been volunteering with them for three years supporting primary school children discover their love of reading (or at least give them a bit more confidence). It’s a shame reading books is in such sharp decline amongst children, it’s a great way to nurture imagination, find calm and pass the time!
