Case Study

Warehouse

Ebit has worked with many retailers to implement robust supplier due diligence tools and processes, ensuring that financial, reputational and supply chain risks are identified and mitigated.

Client Overview

Working with an established health and well being retailer to deliver an improved process and experience across their business when identifying and appointing new suppliers as well as updating existing supplier risk profiles. With a global presence and a supply base to match there were challenges in the existing systems ability to identify and deliver information from harder to research regions and multiple sources of data that needed to be comiled manually.

With the outputs being presented to board for approval it is imperative to ensure that the information was accurate, timely and relevant.

Our Approach

We worked with our client to understand the current picture of their processes and system usage. With 3 different systems in use and the resultant information being compiled in spreadsheets for presentation and approval the process was not working smoothly. The existing systems were not delivering the required level of information and were reliant on extensive user intervention to deliver actionable intelligence.

Using our extensive market knowledge and benchmark data we were able to identify suppliers who had suitable technology and data offerings for the client to review. Once the initial review had taken place , select suppliers were invited to present their solutions before 2 suppliers were invited to final presentations and discussions.

By approaching the market our client was able to enhance their expectations and better understand the capabilities and limitations of the technologies considered, guided by our expert consultants.
