BACKGROUND
This heritage British menswear retailer has evolved from a traditional formalwear brand into a modern multi-channel retailer with over 120 UK locations and a growing e-commerce presence.
The company offers a mix of own-label and third-party brands and has expanded into custom tailoring and rental services to meet changing customer expectations. With continued investment in digital transformation and omnichannel operations, the retailer partnered with EBIT to manage its GNFR spend and unlock operational efficiencies.
the challenge
The client asked EBIT to review challenges across several indirect categories – office consumables, print and point-of-sale materials, and finance systems – to identify opportunities for savings, consistency, and stronger supplier management.
SOLUTION
To address these challenges, EBIT reviewed category performance, supplier relationships, and commercial terms to identify areas of inefficiency and cost leakage.
- Office consumables: Conducted a detailed review of spend, specifications, and leakage. By renegotiating pricing for core items, EBIT achieved an 9% saving and refreshed supplier relationship management
- Print and POS: Leveraged historical campaign data and future forecasts to develop a comprehensive pricing model and secure competitive market rates. Delivered £17k in annual savings through consolidation and improved print management
- Finance systems: Reviewed and renegotiated the client’s existing card payments contract and terms. The renewed agreement delivered a 13% saving against the previous supplier and budget, with sustained benefits over three years
