The opportunity

Ebit were tasked by our client with the following brief:

– To benchmark current costs
– To review existing contract coverage
– To ensure a robust contract was in place following the exercise
– To review and improve general service levels

The scope

Our client has a large retail store network, combined with a head office and retail distribution centre function. All rely heavily on the right communication services and infrastructure being in place – namely Mobile Telephones, Land Lines, Broadband and PBX System (private branch exchange). Ebit worked in conjunction with our clients IT Department to initially analyse existing spend and current contractual commitments. Following the detailed review process, tenders were issued to various specialist providers

Final outcome and success

Following extensive meetings a substantial reduction of over 33% was achieved. More importantly from our clients perspective the whole process was transparent, expedient and controlled within tight timescales. Ebit took great effort to ensure that product specifications and solutions were as planned and Ebit assisted with contract writing and final sign off. It should be noted that the above substantial saving was achieved with the incumbent supplier and incurred minimal disruption as a result.
